While change and new technology can be scary, this fear is nothing compared to what millions of our friends, families, and customers are experiencing right now as a result of the California fires.

If you haven’t heard, the Kincade and Getty fires are ravaging areas more than twice the size of San Francisco  in  both the northern and southern parts of the state – leading to a formal state of emergency declaration and ‘red flag’ warnings. Fortunately, large-scale evacuation efforts have been performed relatively smoothly, saving countless lives during this trying time.

However, more than 20 million people are still living in areas designated as critically or extremely dangerous – and roughly 4.5 million face an ‘extremely critical’ fire risk, which is the state’s most severe category. The fires are estimated to be 15% contained, so unfortunately we have a ways to go before these emergencies can be completely resolved.

If you’ve been affected by the California fires, please know that you’re not alone. We send our sincerest thoughts and prayers to all friends, family members, customers, and people affected. We’re thinking of you, hoping for a swift and safe end, and thankful for each of the thousands of firefighters working around the clock to contain these disasters.
