December Message from the CEO

Hello Fellow Industry Professionals,

Welcome to the 18th edition of AOTMP® Insights, the official publication of the Association of Telecom, Mobility & IT Management Professionals where our mission is to support you and your organization while advancing the industry.

As we close out 2021, I want to send a big Thank You to all our readers, advertisers, contributors, and supporters. Without all of you, AOTMP® Insights would not be possible. We continue to develop content to help you in your endeavors to grow your organization’s success. This issue is a prime example of how you can close out 2021 with an eye on, “What’s Next?” We hope you enjoy reading these articles as much as we enjoyed putting it together. To everyone in our telecom, mobility, and IT management industry, let’s keep working on bringing more visibility and value to ourselves, our teams, our departments and our organizations. We have come so far from being the guys and gals in
the backroom who “just” keep the phones working. The importance of what we do increases every day. We are now responsible for managing products, services, and technology that total over $4.3 trillion annually. Our industry, the telecom, mobility & IT management industry, helps keep large and small businesses across the globe productive, efficient, and most importantly, connected. Think about that for a minute. Every industry. Every business. Everybody. What would happen without it? While the iPhone just came out in 2007 and hasn’t reached its 15th birthday yet, and we have made so much progress since then, the possibilities in the next 10 years to make an impact are endless. What can we do? What can we accomplish as an industry? How can we bring and show more value as an industry? All things to be thinking about as we put another year in the books and head into 2022.

Keep your foot on the gas, always look forward, and be proud of who you are and what you bring to the table. Off to spend some time with my granddaughters, ages 18, 14, 2, and 1. Happy Holidays to you, your family, and friends.
