Course details

Unlike traditional telephony where bundles of physical wires are delivered from telecom service providers to enterprises, Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) trunks allow organizations to replace fixed Public Switched Telephone Network (PSTN) lines with PSTN connectivity via IP. SIP trunks may offer significant cost savings for enterprises, eliminating the need for local PSTN gateways, costly Integrated Services Digital Network (ISDN), Basic Rate Interfaces (BRIs), and Primary Rate Interfaces (PRIs). This session addresses the basics of SIP trunking.
