Wi-Fi Protected Access (WPA) is a security standard developed by the Wi-Fi Alliance for computing devices that wirelessly connect to the internet. Introduced in 2003 as an upgrade replacement to WEP, it is currently on its third iteration (WAP3) and will continue to evolve as the wireless security landscape changes.
