Yes. AOTMP® accepts major credit cards, and organizations may also request an invoice during the enrollment process. If you request an invoice, it is typically issued within two business days. Depending on the purchase, payment terms are Net 30 or Due Upon Receipt.
Your subscription begins on the date your enrollment is approved and extends for one year. Renewal information will be provided before your subscription expires to help ensure uninterrupted participation and continued access to your subscription benefits.

The Certified Solution Sponsorship recognizes technology solutions that have successfully completed AOTMP®’s certification process. It provides independent recognition that a solution aligns with AOTMP® technology management best practices while helping organizations identify trusted solution providers.
To earn the Master Certification, candidates must successfully pass the Master Certification exam, submit three professional reference letters, and submit one case study demonstrating how they made a measurable impact by applying technology management best practices.
The Specialist Certification exam consists of 35 questions designed to evaluate foundational knowledge of technology management best practices.
The Professional Certification exam consists of 60 questions designed to evaluate broader knowledge and the practical application of technology management best practices.
The Master Certification exam consists of 75 questions designed to evaluate advanced professional knowledge and expertise.
The time limit varies by certification.
- Specialist Certification: 60 minutes
- Professional Certification: 75 minutes
- Master Certification: 90 minutes
The time available for your certification exam is displayed before you begin the examination.
A passing score of 80% is required for all AOTMP® certification exams. Your score is provided immediately upon completion of the exam.
Yes. Each certification exam purchase includes one retake if you do not pass your initial attempt. If additional attempts are needed after your included retake, a new certification exam must be purchased.
Yes. After successfully completing an AOTMP® certification, you will receive a certificate recognizing your achievement and, where applicable, a digital badge that can be shared on professional profiles, resumes, and social media.
Specialist, Applied, Professional, and Master Certifications are valid for two years. Information about maintaining or renewing your certification is available on the Certifications page.
Yes, until June 15, 2027. Beginning on that date, AOTMP® will transition from offering individual training courses for purchase to a subscription-based professional development model. After June 15, 2027, professional development will be available through AOTMP® subscriptions, certification opportunities, and other professional development programs.
Preparing for the Professional Certification exam typically requires 24–40 hours of study, depending on your familiarity with the Efficiency First® Framework principles and best practices covered by the exam.
AOTMP® recommends dedicating approximately 3–4 hours per week over 8–10 weeks to complete the required reading and exercises outlined in the exam preparation study guide while allowing sufficient time to reinforce and retain the knowledge gained.
Earning the Master Certification typically requires approximately 32–48 hours of total preparation time.
