AOTMP Announces Two Flagship 2026 Technology Management Events

BLOOMINGTON, IN – January 21, 2026 – AOTMP®, a membership organization for technology management professionals backed by an industry-leading certification body, today announced two cornerstone virtual events for business and vendor leaders focused on advancing technology management excellence across the enterprise in 2026. The April Technology Management Leadership Summit and the October State of the Technology Management Industry Forum will convene global technology, finance, operations, and vendor leaders to share practical playbooks, real-world lessons, and member-driven industry insights.

April Technology Management Leadership Summit

On April 8, 2026, AOTMP will host the Technology Management Leadership Summit, an open meeting of the AOTMP Advisory Council designed for business professionals exploring how AOTMP helps technology, finance, and operations leaders execute with technology management excellence. Built around the theme “Executing Technology Management Excellence – Playbooks, Panels, and Peer Lessons,” the live, online summit will feature an interactive, practitioner-first experience focused on immediately actionable guidance.

The working agenda includes an opening keynote on AOTMP’s technology management overview and opportunities and challenges, anchored in member-derived insights; three member-led panels; two member success story sessions; a sponsor solution playbook session; and a closing buyer-only open discussion for candid peer dialogue on execution and next steps. The event is free to attend for business, non-vendor professionals who direct, manage, or participate in internal technology management activities, with Industry Leader, Community Event, and Certified Vendor sponsors also welcome to register; existing Advisory Council members are pre-registered for the event.

October State of the Technology Management Industry Forum

On October 14, 2026, AOTMP will convene the State of the Technology Management Industry Forum, a live, online event that curates real-world trends, challenges, and emerging practices gathered from conversations with the AOTMP Advisory Council and Industry Leadership Committee throughout the year. Centered on the theme “State of Technology Management 2026–2027 – Member-Driven Trends, Industry Insights,” the forum will surface the most resonant patterns, pain points, and practices shaping the next era of enterprise technology performance.

The eight-session program will include an Opening Insights Briefing led by AOTMP co-chairs, four live interviews featuring business and vendor leaders, two panel discussions exploring operational, financial, and vendor management perspectives, and an Industry Leadership Committee panel on what’s next for technology management and what business leaders expect from vendors in 2027 and beyond. The forum is free to attend, with registration opening August 10, 2026, and sponsorship opportunities available at Industry Leader, Community Event, and Certified Vendor levels.

“AOTMP’s mission is to advance excellence in technology management by putting practitioners and real-world experience at the center of the conversation,” said Timothy C. Colwell, Executive Vice President, AOTMP. “The April Technology Management Leadership Summit gives business leaders the playbooks and peer lessons they can apply immediately, while the October State of the Technology Management Industry Forum reveals the member-driven trends and expectations that will shape technology, finance, and operations performance into 2027 and beyond”.

Audience & Participation

Both events are designed for business professionals responsible for internal technology management, IT financial or operational leadership, technology governance and optimization, and vendor and partner management, as well as vendor leaders seeking to understand and respond to evolving customer expectations. Business attendees will have opportunities to share experiences, trends, and lessons learned that shape the direction of technology management insight and influence. At the same time, vendors will engage as insight partners in a neutral, insight-first environment.

By combining peer-led content, member-driven research, and structured playbooks, the April summit and October forum create a complementary annual experience that helps organizations both execute better today and plan for what is coming next in technology management.

Registration for the April 8, 2026, Technology Management Leadership Summit opens on Monday, February 2, 2026, and is free for qualified business and non-vendor professionals, with existing Advisory Council members automatically registered.

About Bearstone

Bearstone is a telecom vendor governance firm founded by Bill Henrichs, Former Head of Telecommunications at Simon Property Group. Managing telecom for a 200+ site portfolio, Bill saw what most CIOs learn: invoices routinely carry unauthorized charges — services billed after disconnect, rates outside contracted terms — that no one is validating line by line. He built Bearstone to close that gap.

Bearstone delivers BearGuard — a managed governance service that validates invoices against contracted terms, surfaces unauthorized charges and variance, and holds carriers accountable for correction. Where TEM platforms stop at reporting, BearGuard begins.

Headquartered in Noblesville, Indiana, Bearstone serves multi-site enterprises — retail, hospitality, and distribution — with 200+ locations or $2M+ in annual telecom spend.
